For admission as an international student, initiate the process by scanning through different universities and courses to find a suitable match for your study preferences.
Make an application directly to the Austrian University of your choice. Each university has its own application form which could either be in German or English.
Fill in the application form carefully, ensuring all the details are correctly entered and all the necessary documents are attached.
After completion, submit the application either online or via mail, as per the university’s requirements.
Wait for the university’s response. The time taken for response varies from one university to another.
Upon receiving an acceptance letter from the university, the next step is to apply for a residence permit if you are a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen. The application should be submitted to the Austrian embassy or consulate in your home country.
After obtaining the residence permit, organize your relocation to Austria and inform the university about your arrival. Some universities offer assistance in finding accommodation.
