What is it?

It is a procedure to update your residential address in the Residence Permit records. It’s essential to keep your resident permit address up-to-date when you shift your residence within Portugal.

People who have a Portugal Residence Permit and have changed their residential address within Portugal.

Procedure

  1. Head over to the Citizen’s Portal of Portugal and login to Citizen’s Portal .
  2. In the Personal Area (Área Pessoal), select the option for Address (Morada).
  3. Update your residential address with the new one and validate the Postal Code.
  4. After the validation, submit the Address Change request online.
  5. Visit the local Immigration and Borders Service (SEF) with the necessary documents to confirm the address change.

Required Documents

  1. Proof of New Address: Such as rental agreement, house deed, or utility bill.
  2. Identity Proof: Your Passport or any photo ID.
  3. Original Residence Permit: You need to present this document during your visit to the SEF.
